Magnevane and the University of Minho (UM) signed a cooperation agreement through the Mechanical Engineering Department of the UM School of Engineering (EEUM). Founded in 1975, the School of Engineering of the University of Minho (EEUM) has been committed to the world of research, development and innovation and today has a notable reputation as an international engineering higher education institution and a recognized status at the level of research in its 9 R&D centres. The University of Minho recently won a prominent place in the world rankings in higher education, namely Times Higher Education 2015-2016, Times Higher Education 100 under 50 University Ranking 2016 and CWTS Leiden Ranking 2015. CWTS Leiden Ranking 2015 ranks the EEUM as the "Best Engineering School in the Country". The partnership with Magnevane is established through the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM), responsible for the integrated master courses in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, Masters in Mechatronic Engineering, Micro / Nano Technologies, Product Engineering and Engineering and Quality Management, as well as doctoral programs in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering (in collaboration with the CT2M Research Centre). It also promotes the doctoral program in Management and Treatment of Waste and Advanced Materials and Processing, in collaboration with the CT2M research centre.
